Skin

Her tongue licks the salt off my skin
Our mouths are scorched
Stitch our lips
Let no one in
We eagerly await the little brown boxes of freedom
Constantly tracking
Anything to numb our sense
She wears blue
Her features are small
Like dolly's hands
I hold onto her so tight I can feel her breath on my shoulder
Real
Innocent
True
Her tongue licks the salt off my skin
I will always let her in.

    1. That should be easy enough – the poem is full of sensuality! :)

    2. (And maybe the word "sense" was intended as a variant?

  2. Yes, the lick from a tongue can be many things. Usually comforting. She wears blue, is she a "sky goddess?" I hope today is filled with joy!!! Loved your write.

This is a wonderful relationship. I like that you will always let her That she will always be there for you and that you will always be there for her.

  7. Although you speak of numbing the sense, it's a sensual poem, what with the dolly hands, the blue dress, and most of all licking the salt from the skin.

  9. There are those we are confident to trust but others there is always that niggling doubt. May you always meet the former Jae.
