She rests her head
On her hands
Considers her next move
I could never play chess
It's all about logic
She trills
Under the night sky
The old man sits on the bench
His head bowed
A single red rose in his hands
Everybody has a story
A mask to hide behind
A corn field to dance in
A blue light
Shining above the hay bale
She tells me she dreams
Of standing by the shore line
Looking out at the sea
An empty road
Barren except for
Red sand
And a few sparse trees
The world is upside down
When she watches it
Smoke rises from the man's mouth
We will build a rocket ship
Fly into the air
She moves her pieces
Check mate
She declares with glee.
