It’s lovely to read your poem at the dVerse Poets Pub, Jae, and I too worry about slipping on leaves. Our swans have already left, but at least I know they’ll come back again.
Love how we end up sipping tea at the end. As the host at the dVerse pub today, I'm delighted to see you here. However, one of the asks of the prompt is the reminder to have a Tag or a mention that your post is in response to dVerse, and have a link to dVerse. This increases readership for you and of course, leads more folks to dVerse. Please add a mention at the end of your poem that this is in response to dVerse, and add the link. How fun! "Shiver and shake". It reminds me of being at Hyde Park in the fall, esp. with the swans.

ReplyDeleteThat last line is so perfectly discomfiting... Excellent, Jae.

The leaves, the swans, the blue of sky and water - so beautiful. Especially the swans! What a treat to see them.
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely poem, Jae! Cheers.
