The moments are flitting
We look for God
He is in the cupboard
Forever spinning
The essence of him lingers
Our spirit is home
A passion play
Too many lessons to learn
We take flight
Cycle
Spiral
The moments are flitting
This place is forever.
I hate the moments flitting, I feel like screaming "Stop you are going too fast". I am quite happy here but so should you be with God in cupboard Jae!
ReplyDeleteI love "Our spirit is home." That is the magic key! I wish time would slow, too. I want more of this walk in nature's beauty. Hope you are surrounded by blooms, my friend.

Luv the idea of peaking faces into a cupboard looking for God in a trustingly likely place
Have a blessed Sunday Jae

Yes, I think you are right, therefore we are "home," where ever we are...
ReplyDeleteGod is in the cupboard, is he waiting for you to drink in a cup of renewal, I don't know....Be well dear Jae...
ReplyDeleteThank you Truedessa
DeleteI wonder if we can ever find God
ReplyDeleteLove the fact that he hides in a cupboard...
I am glad your home your place is fitting Jae, forever.
ReplyDeleteMaybe one day God will come out of the cupboard, I have never found him yet either.

I love the feel of constant movement; flitting, cycle, spiralling, spinning...it's all in this timeless write!
ReplyDeleteThe rapid-fire, bullet-like, cadence with which you have imbued the observations in this piece, work masterfully to convey a sense of flailing - a manic attempt to mentally grab hold of something, as the moments flit by. Brilliant writing.
ReplyDeleteClose~ but no cigar : )

The lingering essence and the double sense of thread & the endless spinning of load screen (there/not there, remnants) imprints where fairy tales lurk
ReplyDeleteI love the image of God spinning in the cupboard--maybe spinning out our lives, getting the feel of them in his/her hands
ReplyDeleteI would expect to find God in the cupboard, wouldn't you? :)
ReplyDeleteEveryone has the same thought as I do, Jae Rose. God in the cupboard. Love it!

The lucky souls would be accorded the good times if they had been nice to people. It worked that way in life!

The images created here open the way to a lot of speculation about side-meanings like having God in a cupboard ready to be taken out — or not?
ReplyDeleteI wonder if being in the cupboard means shut away, or easily accessible ...perhaps both.
ReplyDeleteWell done. I love the repetition of the "The moments are flitting" bringing us back to that which is forever.
ReplyDeleteGod spinning in a cupboard. What an image! Some places in our minds stay there forever.
ReplyDeleteWell done you
