Valentine

She wears blue flowers in her hair
Freshly plucked from yesterday's garden
We sing a song
Quietly
Under our breath so no one will hear
It is in these silent moments that we become one
I hold her hand
She giggles
For one tiny moment everything is just right
We catch birds and stars and eat treacle under the moon
She wears blue flowers in her hair
Freshly plucked from yesterday's garden.

  13. It is such a comforting rhythm to it. For me it feels like someone embracing and celebrating their inner child.
