They say we see the little things
Caterpillars on leaves
On trees
Never the forest
Nothing passes us by
It makes our head ache
Ten of diamonds
Eight of clubs
Rainbows
Rabbits
And cream
All the world is signs and symbols
There to be read
She says
She sits on the shelf
Swinging her legs
Another night of
Broken dreams
Visions
Pictures
Clues
Today we will eat honey
She declares
I am stuck
Find it hard to reach the kitchen
I fall asleep
She settles
We live in harmony
Seeing the same things
Knowing the same things
Together
As one.
"All the world is signs and symbols
ReplyDeleteThere to be read"
Yes indeed eyes wide open as we journey on our way. Happy Wednesday Jae
much love...
That part stood out to me, also.
DeleteSome people like to see the detail while others prefer the bigger picture. When there are two of you, you can see double the detail, double the bigger picture, or a bit of both. If you can read the signs and symbols, then even better.
ReplyDeleteSimulvision...devoutly to be wished.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Alice. The signs are all there. We just need to remember the language they speak to us in.
ReplyDelete...and then there are those who cannot see the forest for the trees ....
ReplyDeleteOh (sigh) so many ways to explore.
I hope you make it to the kitchen and make a nice cup of tea for you and Alice. With honey. Smiles.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully poignant and deep, Jae!
ReplyDeleteWe are all different in our own way; we should embrace that difference for how awful it would be around a crowd of people just like ourselves. "Vive la difference!"
