The children scoot and swim
A late summers weekend
Swinging without a care
Tumble down the hole
Learn to love
No one sees their tears
Crying in the wind
The best is yet to come
Winter is dead
It loosens its noose
Dancing leaves
Crumpled shoes
Salt like dread of long dark evenings
We bind our ears
Deafen our senses
Noise is too much
All just signs and symbols
We need them to find our way.
Lovely to read you, my friend. "No one sees their tears" is powerful and sad. I love the dancing leaves. Wishing you a good Sunday and a happy week.
ReplyDeleteOften the things that annoy us are the very things we need to find our way.
ReplyDeleteSome challenging contrasts, from carefree to dread; but the way found.
ReplyDeleteWell apart from the signs and symbols perhaps our instincts should be allowed their say too for quite often they are right! I always find something deeper in your writing Jae. I am shivering now because of our chilly long dark evenings whilst your weather is...just like ours! It's the same temperature!
ReplyDeletevivid imagination.

Love that, Jae!
