In our nightmares
We feel naked
We try to move
But we are restrained
Back in the dormitory
Our punishment
Next door we hear
The boys shouting and roaring
It scares us
When they are older
They will be roaring men
And we all be on the outside
Locked up in our own prisons
Red rooms
Safe in our beds
Nowhere else to go
Too late to find
Something better and shining
We have our rituals
One
Two
Three
But they are fading
We touch what we need to touch
Leave the rest to chance
That makes her smile
The rains come down
In a shower
The poles on the window
Grow more slippy
There is no escape from the dormitory
After dark.
