We play silent games
Fresh aprons and awesome kisses
All just a test
Twisted like acrobats
An infinite test
We are afraid to say goodbye
Sweet dreams
We aim for the stars
Kiss the back of our hand
Missing chords
Light pouring through the window
Sweet chords
All is missing
We admire the view
Play silent games
No longer afraid
All a big surprise.
This poem sounds so positive Jae, playing games, awesome kisses with the sun shining through the window! It sounds more like Australia at the moment rather than wintery England...yes it was a surprise!
ReplyDeleteInstead of goodbye, let's say hello.......and be surprised at what walks in the door. Smiles.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely when light pours inside & there's nothing to be afraid of.
ReplyDeleteI like surprises!
ReplyDeleteGames are such fun, perahps we should see the whole world as just a game...for how else can be explain it? Surprises are also fun...and it is also fun to lose fear!!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of silent games! Very vivid depiction.
ReplyDeleteI think playing games is sometimes the only way to make the weight of our lives bearable.
ReplyDeleteI see hope in the lines, nice one.
ReplyDeleteLife seems like a silent game, a test that we must overcome our fear of...a great ending.
ReplyDeletePlaying games with no fear in them... What a gift.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I don't want to say goodbye either. It's not that I'm afraid, but that it makes me sad to think about leaving this big, wonderful world, even though the world at times is a mess! It's familiar, it's home, and I will miss it, along with my friends.
ReplyDeletean infinite test..afraid to say goodbye... that resonated deeply..
ReplyDeleteLight pouring through the window....All is missing!
ReplyDeleteApt description...lucid and vivid. Yes we play silent games, sometimes all our lives. Thanks for sharing the poem
