We will defy gravity
And find our home
In the middle of a nebula
The stars are a blur
Of gas and turbulence
They shine back
At our smiles
We ignore the sounds
And focus on our birth
Daisy chains
And sweet tea
All our habits
Acted out in space
And time
We like flying
Feeling free
Moving is slow
Bones aching
Legs shaking
But we must keep moving
If we want to live
And that we do
We drift up
Into the sky
See the Earth and sun
We are nothing but specks
Tiny but real
When we fall from the nebula
We will land on our bed
Fresh from space
We will sleep and dream
And sing a song
Of the world.
