I do not remember
When you came to visit
I do not remember
When I opened the door to you
Made space for you in my life
It is like you have
Been with me forever
That is because
We are stuck
She whispers
Locked together in
Time and space
And friendship
I offer
You are no ordinary visitor
You are part of my soul
And part of my spirit
I see through your eyes
Touch things
With your delicate
Porcelain fingers
You are my world
My adventure
My young woman in blue
She smiles
And sings
Lights up the room
Just with her presence
I did not ask for a visitor
But you came
And I am very thankful
You did.
I think we all need faithful companionship, and whatever kind of understanding and soul-matching we can find. And I think it is essential that we all learn to be our own loving companions. The delightful Alice is certainly one to be thankful for!
ReplyDeleteThere is such a lovely ethereal quality to your porcelain visitor that lights up the room and need never go away.
ReplyDeleteFortunate are us who have a visitor like yours come into our lives. You articulate my fortune quite well.
